Visit to Searcy

March 23-25, 2009
Mom joined us for a trip to Searcy to see Chad, Libby and Riley. Riley is 18 months old and has a HUGE vocabulary for his age. He got so excited when his cousins arrived and ran around calling "AVVVV" He couldn't quite get out Isabel's name so she became "Badabbadabba" Riley knows so many words, I was so impressed. He can say who goes with who in his family- for example, Honey goes with PopPop, Carmen goes with Trey, etc. He is such a happy baby- he smiled constantly. Elizabeth has been putting in a lot of time at her CPA firm lately so she was gone during the day but still managed to fix us gourmet meals for supper and even baked muffins for breakfast before she left for work. She's a wonderful hostess and cook, we were definitely pampered during our stay.

We also visited Honey and PopPop at their house a few miles down the road and enjoyed "watering" the flowerbeds, playing kickball and jumping in the blow-up gym in their backyard. They keep a perfectly manicured yard, with gorgeous flowerbeds. It brought back memories of me and my sisters and cousins playing in their backyard when we were kids. It was in Tulsa, not Searcy, but it was similar, with lots of landscaping and fun places for kids to explore. I'm so glad Spring is here so the kids can burn some energy outside and not in the house for a change!

Rotary PETS (President Elect Training Seminar) in Ft. Smith, AR
March 19- 21, 2009 Trey is the incoming President for Nashville. I'm so proud of him and know he'll do an excellent job. I enjoyed going to this training seminar and learning more about Rotary. Here's Trey with the Rotary International President,John Kenny, from Scotland.
