Uncle Charlie's Wedding in Dallas

We just spent 4 days in Dallas for Uncle Charlie and Mari's wedding. It was a WONDERFUL occasion! We had family from California, Texas, Ohio, Wash. DC, and Arkansas - and it was quite a reunion.
Friday, we arrived at the hotel and relaxed in the lobby with Scheri and John and let Riley and Isabel stretch their legs after the long drive. Sat. we all met at the mall and Aunt Judith treated us to lunch- thanks Aunt Judith! Isabel and Uncle Robin seemed to have a special bond, she was very content to hang out with him which freed me up to enjoy the sushi- my favorite food by the way, and visit with Kell, from California, who was very pleased to see his country cousins knew how to eat sushi with chopsticks! He admitted he's been worried about us not getting out much!

Liz and I were able to enjoy a night out with our husbands thanks to our cousins Sue, Lauren and Logan. They kept the babies at the hotel while we were at the wedding- we really appreciated their help.

The wedding was beautiful. Mari chose lime green and cranberry as her colors. The ceremony took place in an outdoor courtyard of a building Uncle Charlie and Mari both worked to design. Mari's three daughters were bridesmaids. I'm so excited, I have a new aunt and three more cousins!

Here's a sweet picture of the groom and his mother.
Sunday morning we went with the Roseberry family to church and then had lunch together. That afternoon we gathered at Uncle Charlie and Mari's house and said goodbye to them before they left for Tahiti.

The Baldwins and some Hendrix's (Payte, Sue, Lauren, Logan, Aunt Annette, Uncle Jack, Max, Mandy and Katie) gathered Sun. evening for church and a program honoring Lauren and other graduating seniors in the congregation. We're so proud of Lauren, she's very involved in church activities and is about to go on a mission trip to Africa.

Lauren and Logan- beautiful!! (I later added this - from Lauren's prom the week after we were there)

We spent Sunday night with Aunt Melanie and Uncle Allen at his mom's (Mrs.Wilma's) house. We appreciate her hospitality, she didn't bat an eye at having two preschoolers invade her house. She even had a wonderful little playroom that the girls enjoyed and a great backyard to explore. It was great to catch up with Aunt Melanie.

So, CONGRATULATIONS and best wishes to Charlie and Mari, and also to Lauren as she prepares to graduate and head off to Pepperdine in the fall.
