Relay for Life

June 5, 2009: Friday night was the annual American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" at the park. It is a wonderful event to raise money for cancer research. The path all around the park is lined with luminaries in honor and in memory of individuals with cancer. Then everyone gets quiet and the stage lights are turned off while the names are read and the candles are lit. I was so moved by the beautiful ceremony.
