"A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost." ~Marion C. Garretty

No relation to Betty Crocker!!

This entry is inspired by Tara's recent blog post titled "Yes, I'm Betty Crocker's cousin" and her photos of the impressive spread of food she prepared. Well, I am in the process of making several dishes for the bank's Christmas open house in the morning .  In the past, Coleen has helped me cook for this big event- I miss her! Anyway, here are the fabulous "place and bake" snickerdoodle cookies I just pulled out of the oven. The question is. . .

do you think anyone will know I didn't make these from scratch?

It's 11:26 p.m. on Wed night, and I'm getting a late start because after church Trey took us to see Christmas lights. Now, everyone except me is in bed, and I have lots of down time waiting for my other cookies to bake and the cool whip for the banana pudding to thaw. So, while I wait, I've cleaned the kitchen, folded clothes and thought I'd warn you when you're doing your holiday baking DO NOT cut corners with the "Best Choice" brand Snickerdoodle cookies!!

follow up note: these cookies taste as terrible as they look - don't worry I did not take them to the bank party!
