"A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost." ~Marion C. Garretty

Isabel at age 2

Isabel can:
  • sing her "ABC's" although "l,m,n,o,p" sounds more like "lalalalala"
  • count to ten
  • identify the colors: green, blue, yellow, red, pink, purple
  • name all her family and a lot of her extended family
  • says "please" and "thank you"
  •  knows lots of words and makes some sentences such as points to the phone and says "talk to Commie please"
Can sing along with these songs:
  • Jesus loves me
  • the B-I-B-L-E
  • Blue Skies and Rainbows
  • Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
  • This Little Light of Mine

and her favorite Christmas songs:
  • Jingle bells
  • Frosty the Snowman
  • Oh Christmas Tree
she also:  bows her head and folds her hands when we pray, wants to do anything that Ava does, rides a tricycle, calls Ava "Avee" and "Abby," loves the park and can climb the biggest slide and slide down by herself, and goes to the potty a dozen times a day so she can have a "treat please" because "Isabel tee-teed a whole bunch!" her face lights up and she says "Daddy home?" and runs to check when she hears a noise outside, loves her new big girl class at church and is so proud of the take homes she makes.

  1. That's a smart little girl right there - and cute, too! You captured some good photos at your holiday gathering. I enjoyed looking.
