November 29, 2009: Sunday, after church, Elizabeth and Chad graciously invited everyone to their house for a wonderful meal. Elizabeth is an excellent hostess and chef- she prepared a pork tenderloin and several delicious sides to go with it. The kids enjoyed playing in the back yard, and Uncle Robin gave Isabel a t-ball lesson. Later that afternoon, we went over to Granddad and Grandmother's house for a birthday reception in honor of Grandmother.

Here are Aunt Melanie and Mom showing off the quilts Grandmother made them out of her mother's dresses. Ida was known for wearing purple - and a lot of purple dresses went into these beautiful quilts. What a special treasure.
