March happenings

March 21, 2010: SNOW!!
After church, Trey's parents came over and cooked steaks! I pretty much just turned over the kitchen and went to play with the kids and they prepared a delicious lunch. These thick, flavorful ribeyes, mashed potatos, garlic bread and pie for dessert- yummy! Thanks Commie and Big Daddy!  Can we make this a Sunday dinner tradition?
And speaking of food, remember that earlier blog post about my cousins Rick and Cortney's camp. Here are the pics from their shrimp boil. I can't describe how delicious this food was. Shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, potatoes all boiled in cajun spices. And these cream cheese peppers that were ridiculously spicy- but so good! I don't know if there's any better way to spend a Spring evening than out in the woods, around a campfire with family and friends.
remember how organized I said Cortney's camp kitchen was! Here is a close-up.
this pic was taken right before dark and doesn't show up well, but she planted this pretty little row of tulips along the edge of the woods.
Here are the kids playing at Granddaddy's house the next day.
