Sun BEANS from Heaven!!

I haven't made time to blog much this summer but when I heard this I had to post it!! Ava and Gabby (both 5) are drawing and singing "blue skies and rainbows and sunbeans, (yes,beans) from Heaven." I am cleaning the kitchen, hear this and immediately am intrigued. These are the moments that make motherhood (and "aunthood" ??) really fun.  So I inquired about these sun "beans" and they both looked at me like, "duh," and explained,  "SUN BEANS. They grow ON THE SUN. On beanstalks, You know, Jack and the beanstalk." Then they drew pictures of several kinds of beans, long and pointed and short and round, and started comparing their drawings, and then I slipped away, back to my task. But still smiling. And from now on, when I sing that song, it will be hard not to picture Jack and the beanstalk on the sun!
